Clarice Beckett (1887-1935) pushed her cart of art materials around bayside Melbourne streets as she painted streetscapes and suburban beach scenes. During her life she never sold a work; her single exhibition dismissed by critics. Now she is one of Australia’s most esteemed artists. Her works capture the distinctive sunlight of southern coastal Australia. She endows her scenes with warmth, plays of light, sea mist and intriguing colour.

The Titans (2008) 6:00
The Titans of the ancient Greeks live in the earth’s depths. A story tells that when Christ was buried in the earth he was able to meet these fabled spirits, and could pass on knowledge about the Titans to the gods of the upper heavens. The Titans was premiered at the National Centre for Korean Traditional Performing Arts in Seoul by gayageum virtuoso Aeri Ji. Composed for Korean gayageum virtuoso Ji-Young Yi.
