Kyriotetes (2000)                7:48

The Kyriotetes are spirits of Wisdom in esoteric cosmology. They work in the earth’s astral body and affect changing seasons, and the weather. These changes are reflected in the activities of amphibians and frogs. In the creation of the universe, the Kyriotetes gave grace that was a step to the evolution of light. Composed for Australian cellist Alister Barker.

Welcome (2005)                     6:55

In Australia, rocks have laid on the ground unchanged for sixty thousand years. There is a sense in some places that time and space is suspended. A vibrant, youthful atmosphere sometimes balances the worn out, low nutrient soils and seas. Composed for the first Australian performance of Taiwanese cellist Chien-Hsui Ong with Australian Alister Barker.

The Submerging City was awarded first prize in the 2010 International Music Prize for Excellence in Composition (Greece).

Minotaur City (2007)                          6:30

In ancient times there lived in a labyrinth in Crete a Minotaur; half man and half bull. Every seven years King Minos sent seven girls and boys as a sacrifice to the minotaur.  Prince Theseus asked the king if he could fight the beast. Ariadne, the king’s daughter, took pity on the prince and gave him a ball of golden yarn to help him trace his path within the labyrinth. Prince Theseus entered the labyrinth, killed the Minotaur and was able to find his way out.
